Do you trauma bond with astrology and, as a result, have a dysregulated nervous system?

by Christina

Have you ever considered that what happens to you isn’t always correlated to what’s happening in the sky but to what’s inside your subconscious mind?

Astrology stirs up what is inside us collectively and individually. Don’t give your power away to your natal chart and transits like you are a victim.

Use this knowledge and data to diagnose, heal and integrate. Be aware of your natal chart and the upcoming transits, but don’t let it stop you from living life.

For example, if you heal/process/integrate your trauma from childhood—and even past lives—and program your subconscious to work with you instead of against you, then it might NOT matter what the transit/planet, etc, is doing.

Then, whatever happens, isn’t triggering you or affecting you; it’s just another day in this reality.

For example, if you grew up with an abusive father (heavy Saturn/Capricorn/Mars placements), then when you have transits that trigger your natal chart, the energy is going to feel more difficult than it would for those who have healthy relationships with their father.

Of course, that is a generalization, but it tracks. Your goal should be to work through the trauma from childhood and the relationship with your father so when future transits happen that trigger these issues, there is a zero point reaction, meaning no reaction, just observation.

Or if you have tricky Venus/Neptune/Pluto placements, relationships can be murky. Use caution, heal co-dependency, develop a narcissist radar and be aware during transits.

If you heal and integrate the emotions linked to the trauma or your natal placement, then the transits won’t necessarily pack as much of a punch.

That being said, there are always past life issues, too. These can be harder to heal just because they are not always in our conscious awareness, but they are usually linked to the issues you are experiencing in your present life.

I find that the harder something hits you, the more stuff you have to process—in this life and past. And that’s ok. Once you process it, the less power it packs.

For example, Saturn returns. If the karma loop isn’t closed, it follows you.

The more aware you are of the astrological energy, your natal chart, and your trauma, the more you explore your subconscious and heal its contents, and the less astrology should actually affect you.

What if our purpose here is to transcend astrology and the effect of the planets and not let it dictate our lives?

Instead of trauma bonding with astrology, constantly worrying about planets and transits for everything that happens (who actually has time for this!!!), what if you just let go and related to it like we do the physical weather?

Rainy days shouldn’t determine how you live your life. Just go live it.

That being said, I love astrology, but at the same time, I don’t let it dictate my life and my decisions. I use it as a science and an art, not a religion. If things correlate, cool; if not, who cares—I’m doing the thing anyway.

I’m not trying to “live my chart” but hoping to transcend it. But it has been a valuable map for this journey.
